SHOPPING

Paignton Town Centre – plenty of gift shops but not a lot more – Rossiters on Palace Avenue is the only department store

Torquay Town Centre – many of the big name shops - Debenhams, Hoopers, T-Max, W H Smith, Primart, BHS, Argos, Somerfield, Tesco, Littlewoods, Ottakers, Dorothy Perkins, River Island, Peacocks, Superdrug, Boots, Woolworths

The Willows – situated on the outskirts of Torquay – Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury’s, Comet, Dixon’s – there’s a free bus service

Trago Mills – massive, cheap and sells everything – well worth a visit if you like browsing for bargains – plenty for the kids too

Totnes – for arts and crafts – one of the best shops is China Blue (near the Railway Station) – excellent café, you can paint and decorate your own pottery and their range of ornaments and gifts is the best I’ve seen

House of Marbles, Bovey Tracey – arts and crafts – worth a visit

Fermoy’s – Garden Centre on the Newton Abbot – Totnes Road – huge range of gardening items, gifts, food hall, pet supplies etc

Jack’s Patch – another Garden Centre on the Newton Abbot – Teignmouth Road.
